Five GSAKU professors visited the College of Bioresources and Agriculture, National Taiwan University (CBANTU) from June 26th<\/sup> to 28th<\/sup>, 2019 to hold Summer Course and an admission guidance to the study at GSAKU. On June 28th<\/sup>, Dean Akira Murakami (Agricultural Facilities Engineering<\/a>) also visited CBANTU and met with Dean Huu-Sheng Lur.<\/p>\n

In Summer Course, Profs. Jun Ogawa (Fermentation Physiology and Applied Microbiology<\/a>), Nobuaki Arai (Fisheries and Environmental Oceanography<\/a>), Kazuo Inoue (Physiological Function of Food<\/a>), Yuji Isagi (Forest Biology<\/a>), and Vice Dean Motoki Akitsu (Philosophy of Agricultural Science<\/a>) gave lectures on various subjects in current agricultural sciences.<\/p>\n

In the morning of the 28th<\/sup>, Dean Murakami, Prof. Hisashi Miyagawa (Bioregulation Chemistry<\/a> \/ Director of Institute for Liberal Arts and Sciences), Prof. Ryutaro Tao (Pomology<\/a>), and Ms. Rika Ogata, Deputy Director of GSAKU, attended a meeting with Dean Huu-Sheng Lur, Associate Dean Dar-Yuan Lee, and Prof. Shu-Jen Wang, Director of Center for International Agricultural Education & Academic Exchanges.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon, GSAKU and CBANTU co-hosted the guidance on GSAKU\u2019s educational programs for international students. NTU students who took the Summer Course lectures attended the guidance and listened attentively to the presentations.<\/p>\n

In the evening, a dinner reception was held to commemorate Dean Murakami\u2019s assumption of office. The professors who gave lectures and the orientation attended the reception and former Dean Prof. Eiji Nawata was also present.<\/p>\n

During the meeting and the reception, both GSAKU and CBANTU expressed interest in promoting student exchange through events like Summer Course and guidance, and strengthening partnership by co-hosting joint symposia.<\/p>\n
