Among them, the following is a brief introduction of \u201cInternational Guest Scholar\u201d and \u201cInternational Guest Research Associate,\u201d who are not employed by the university. Procedures to appoint international researchers as either status can be found on the website of the North Campus Administration Office.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hokubu.kyoto-u.ac.jp\/adm\/research\/research_koryu\/research_ukeire_shohei-3-4.html\">North Campus Administration Office Website<\/a><br \/>(Available on campus and in Japanese language only)<\/p>\n<h4><strong>International Guest Scholar<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The university may give appointments to international researchers who meet the following criteria under the rubric of Kyoto University Guest Scholar.<br \/>(1)\u00a0\u00a0 International researchers who are not employed by Kyoto University;<br \/>(2)\u00a0\u00a0 International researchers who contribute to a faculty or department\u2019s research and education for not less than two weeks, unless otherwise specified; and<br \/>(3)\u00a0 International researchers who are determined to possess qualifications greater than or equal to a Professor, Associate Professor, or Senior Lecturer at Kyoto University<\/p>\n<h4><strong>International Guest Research Associate<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Persons in any of the following categories may be appointed as Kyoto University Guest Scholar Associate, except those persons who plan to stay in Japan at their own expense. Applicants must contribute to a faculty or department\u2019s research and education for not less than two weeks, unless otherwise specified.
